Fashion On Location
Fashion On Location
Fashion photoshoots are just plain fun. Planning is part of the process; from the initial idea to sorting out all the miniscule details that go into an on-location fashion shoot.
This project was an assignment with Avid Lifestyle Magazine for their Spring Fashion cover and spread.
I’ve been working with Creative Director Jani Duncan Smith for years, shooting everything from tablescapes to flat lays, glamping destinations to indoor car collections—there is no project too big or too small we’re not willing to tackle together. Also on this project is stylist Hailee Lucchesi, formerly at Vogue and has styled shoots all over the world.
Deciding the location for the concept is always an important part of my process; utilizing the unique and beautiful architecture of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the rest of the pieces can fall into place and styles selected to match the look and feel we are going for. A smooth and wonderful working day on set resulted in fantastic imagery of models represented by Donna Baldwin Agency, wearing fashions by Steve Sells Studio, Garbarini, Nordstrom and the cover show-stopping gown by Guillermo Pharis. Jewelry by Trice and John Atencio, makeup Erroll Perkins and hair by Laura Fey.
